Courses offered in football management

三月 31, 2000

Football managers will soon be relegating their sheepskin coats to the bottom of the cupboard in favour of academic gowns, if plans to kick off a diploma in soccer management at Greenwich University strike it lucky. Negotiations between the University and the Professional Footballers' Association have already taken place, although a university spokesperson said that "nothing has been finalised yet".

Candidates will need to have a UEFA B coaching qualification, and proof that they are working towards the A certificate, and will also be given the chance to convert their diploma into a BA or masters degree in management studies after two years.

The university will link up with a network of regional distance-learning centres, so managers already working in the field have the option of studying from home or away.
