LSE keeps increase down to 3.5 per cent

Academics at the London School of Economics have backed down on a proposal to increase tuition fees for some postgraduates by 30 per cent. Members of the school's academic planning and resources committee decided on Tuesday to scale down the increase to 3.5 per cent next year for more than 700 students on certain postgraduate courses, mainly MScs. Originally the APRC wanted fees increased by 10 per cent a year for the next three years.
