A university college has received a glut of applications from nude models after a local Jobcentre banned its advert for people to pose for life drawing classes.
Staff at the Jobcentre told lecturers at University College Northampton that their advert could not go on the vacancies board because it might embarrass job seekers. The subsequent outcry led to many more applications than usual.
Malcolm Robinson, a senior lecturer in art and design at the college, said:
"To us, it is a legitimate activity; there are no issues for us."
