Up to £20 million of investment will be provided to local technological enterprises in and around York after a successful bid for European funding by the University of York in partnership with Science City York and the Food and Environment Research Agency. The funding, which comes from the European Regional Development Fund, will allow the university to expand its knowledge-exchange activities for target businesses. With the development of a new Higher York Creative Technology Centre, the university will be able to offer collaborative research space, office space and exhibition space for start-up companies.
