Bovine balderdash

Being a vegetarian is about taking the (easy) ethical choice that you don't require animals to be killed just so that you can eat them.

Nigel Hunt's appalling letter (April ) suggests that it is OK to kill and eat cows because they are not very bright. He admits that even though millions of vegetarians somehow manage it, he would find it too "difficult" to think up a balanced diet that doesn't include meat. Sounds like he's not so bright himself. Maybe some cows should pop round and stick him in a hotpot.
