MMR and autism

一月 2, 2004

Andy Alaszewski is wrong to suggest that the connection between the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine and autism is one of "a low probability with a high consequence" ("When fear becomes another epidemic", THES , December 12) unless he knows something that science has yet to prove.

There is quite simply no link between MMR and autism - period.

If his answer to this basic point is to suggest that one can never know this to be true absolutely, then we might as well start investigating the link between watching television and autism, or drinking orange juice and autism, and so on.
