Your article on the new childcare grant contains an inaccuracy ("'Bewildering' red tape stops students claiming full childcare support", THES , February 22). While access bursaries and the hardship fund are available through institutions, the school-meals grant and travel, books and equipment grants are available through the student's local education authority.
