A bad week for Sir Ron. On Monday an FT interview on the broad thrust of the representations given to his committee was billed as having "outlined his vision" for higher education: "a little bit naughty" according to sources close to the great man. Then those unfeeling swine from Natfhe suggested (see p 3) that he might like to go straight on to do the same for further education. Honestly, would you want these people negotiating your hours and conditions of work? If Sir Ron tries to flee the country under an assumed name, we'll know who to blame.
