The vast majority of tweets are sent by humans. However, lurking in the corridors, libraries and grounds of the UK’s universities are a number of animals, buildings and even ghosts that have signed up to the micro-blogging social network to keep their followers informed. Here are some of the more unusual university Twitter accounts.
1. The glass jar of moles (@GlassJarOfMoles)
According to their Twitter profile, the moles “proudly reside” in a jar at the Grant Museum of Zoology, University College London.
Have you ever wondered why us moles are so lefty? Well it is because a group of moles is known as a labour. All make sense now?
