More than a third of employees in the education sector are now working with the "people development" Investors in People standard, according to Investors in People UK. This is up 7 per cent on last year, but is still below the national average. Bob Thackwray, senior consultant with the Universities' and Colleges' Staff Development Agency (UCoSDA) said the figures were encouraging given a high degree of scepticism in colleges and universities. In the education sector, 11 per cent of employees said they often feel "under-utilised", the study found.
