Scientists who found a way to detect pasta impostors have signed a licensing agreement with a national food diagnostics company.
Kits for detecting poor-quality wheat substituted into durum wheat pasta were developed from research by a team at Nottingham Trent University's science and mathematics department. Royalties from the deal with Cheshire-based Cortecs Diagnostics will go to the university.
