It must surely be of concern to Prince Charles that his institute of Architecture, purveyor of neo-classical design, has turned its back on one of its own.

Anthony-Noel Kelly, the lecturer in sculpture at the Institute sentenced last week to nine months in jail for stealing bits of bodies for his work, seems to have been disowned by it since being arrested. Numerous calls to the institute have resulted only in "no comments", laced with suggestions that it did not want to compromise police investigations.

Well, now that it is all over, what does the institute's spokeswoman have to say? "No comment. What was your other question because I'm busy in a meeting." Nice to know some things do not change.
