Council tempts young engineers with Pounds 50,000

The Engineering Council is inviting 11 to 25-year-olds at school, college or undergoing training in industry to register their entry for the "Young Engineers for Britain" competition. The deadline is April 30. The total value of prizes is Pounds 50,000, with a top prize of Pounds 2,500. The winner of a Working in Industry Award will receive Pounds 1000. Other awards include Pounds 1,000 prizes for best project in a specialist area covered by one of sponsors which include: Lloyd's Register (safety); Boots (healthcare or medical need); Ove Arup (built environment) and the Institute of Materials (materials science and engineering).
