四月 2, 1999

The strike by staff at the British Library is over. The library also announced this week that, in response to its recent consultation exercise, it will spend an extra Pounds 3 million a year on acquisitions. There will be Pounds 1 million more for conservation in 1999-2000 and Pounds 6 million a year thereafter. A new Pounds 500,000 fund will back a task force to develop partnerships with other libraries.
