* Students at De Montfort University's Bedford campuses protested this week demanding the university drop plans to sell its Lansdowne campus - one of four main sites. They also want satellite campuses to be involved in decisions, such as the introduction of graduation fees, which the student union opposes. A De Montfort spokeswoman said money from the sale would go to improving facilities at its Bedford Polhill site. She claimed most students were happy with graduation fees.
