Cambridge University is to send bailiffs to the home of history lecturer Gill Evans (below) to collect almost Pounds 10,000 of legal costs.
Dr Evans, who earns Pounds 29,000 a year, has represented herself against Cambridge in numerous court battles as part of her campaign to reform the university's procedures for promoting academic staff. She recently lost a call for an injunction to prevent her faculty committee considering her case for a promotion and had costs awarded against her.
Her offer to make a payment to a student hardship fund has been declined.
