Strathclyde University is combating Basil Fawlty tendencies in the hospitality business with an innovative CD-Rom education programme from its Scottish Hotel School, part of the business school.
A leading publisher is considering commercially adapting its interactive Hotel & Hospitality Management, which allows students to take part in video role plays of good and bad restaurant practices.
The CD-Rom covers not only marketing and public relations, but also familiarises students with wine-producing,
cooking and carving. It was developed by the school and AV media services, with support from Apple Computers UK Ltd.
