Crooks caught red-handed on poor-quality security camera film can now be easily framed, thanks to a software package developed by a postgraduate student at Staffordshire University.
Even the fuzziest profile can be developed into a 3-D mugshot, giving the police an accurate picture of the suspect.
PhD student James Robinson hopes that CCTV will be more effective as a result.
