Plymouth University is savouring the sweet smell of success with a £10,000 grant to fund equipment, books, project materials and travel expenses for students studying perfumery at the university.
The International Federation of Essential Oils and Aroma Trades gave the money to help boost Plymouth's new undergraduate degree in aroma and formulation, which began last September. Plymouth has run a perfume-based marketing degree for eight years but hopes the applied science course, unique in Europe, will take off.
