EMBO announces award for communication in the life sciences

The European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO) has announced that the EMBO Award for communication in the life sciences will be presented on 9 November 2002.

The 5,000 euro prize is given in recognition of outstanding services to the public understanding of science via media such as printed and electronic media, radio, television, school projects and talks.

It will be awarded during European Science and Technology Week as part of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL)/EMBO joint conference on science and society in Heidelberg.

Practising life scientists working in research in Europe and Israel are eligible for the prize.
