The Drug Control Centre at King's College London will test athletes at the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games, which begin next week.
Some 4,000 athletes are due to take part in the games. The centre has trained extra scientists for the event. Twenty people will be involved in the testing, which forms part of UK Sport's anti-doping programme.
