A research consortium to tackle flooding in the UK is being backed by a £4 million commitment from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Environment Agency.
Its short-term objectives will be to reduce flood risk to people, property and the environment, to develop more accurate flood forecasting and to improve the flood management infrastructure.
Expressions of interest to participate in the consortium are being invited.
