Brussels, 08 Oct 2002
The Representation of the German region Nordrhein-Westfalia to the EU is hosting a platform event on the topic of fuel cell technology in the context of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) on 29 October in Brussels.
The event, the first in a series to be held in Brussels, aims to highlight research and technology priorities in Nordrhein-Westfalia, and promote contact with different European partners.
Over 30 fuel cell projects are currently being carried out in this region of Germany, with a combined budget of over 65 million euro. The event is also seen as an opportunity to define Nordrhein-Westfalia's research role in the new European Research Area (ERA).
Participants will hear speeches from Pablo Fernandez Ruiz, a director from Commission's DG Research, and Hartmut Krebs, the region's Secretary of State for School, Science and Research.
