Scottish science makes it to market
Iain Gray, Scotland’s minister for enterprise and lifelong learning, has told a Strathclyde University conference that 19 per cent of university spin-offs are in Scotland. The Scottish Executive had launched a range of initiatives, such as the proof of concept fund and knowledge transfer grant, to help get science out of the laboratory and into the marketplace, he said.
