American association for the advancement of science annual meeting

The annual meeting of the American association for the advancement of science will take place in Denver, Colorado, from 13 to 18 February 2003.

The meeting will combine scientific sessions, business meetings, symposia, plenary sessions, lectures and special events. There will also be an onsite career workshop and an exhibit hall.

More than 750 speakers will lead the 149 multidisciplinary sessions, featuring the latest research on asteroid impact, supercomputing, the relationship between brain and behaviour, microbial forensics, as well as perspectives on sustainable development in Africa, insect-borne diseases and the impact of climate change.

Three two-day seminars will be held; 'nanotechnology 2003: big things happen in little packages', 'microarrays and functional genomics', and 'neuroinformatics: genes to behaviour'.
