The German Association of Engineers (VDI) has launched an online database containing details of companies, institutes and universities working in surface, plasma and vacuum technology.
While surface, plasma and vacuum technologies are key technologies, present in the majority of the Sixth Framework Programme priority research areas, scientists and companies working in this area have not formed many links.
The aim of the database is to build a network of those working in research and application, and thus foster collaboration at a European level with a possible view to creating networks of excellence or integrated projects. Search features allow users to identify institutions matching their criteria. To access the new database, please visit: http://www.eurodatabase.org
