The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service and the Scottish Qualifications Authority have signed an agreement that aims to avoid a repeat of last year's examination results debacle. Ucas made mistakes in processing the SQA information and credited applicants who had fallback or compensatory awards with C passes. A report commissioned by Ucas recommends that the two bodies set out their responsibilities and expectations in a formal agreement in a bid to improve the system.
