An undergraduate degree adds an average of 25 per cent to earnings, researchers at the University of Warwick have found. Over a full working life, this is an extra £220,000, conclude economists Ian Walker and Yu Zhu. The level of gain depends on subject, with arts degrees adding least earning power and law and medicine the most.
