An international partnering event on information technology in the life sciences is to take place on 28 May in Sardinia, Italy.
The main aim of the event is the promotion of technology and information exchange between companies and research centres active in the following areas:
- genomics;
-characterisation of the cellular functions of proteins bioinformatics;
-applications of genomics research in the processes of drug discovery and in diagnostics.
With a view to facilitating discussions and initiating knowledge transfer, participants from all over Europe will have the opportunity to present technology offers or technology requests in a catalogue. Bilateral meetings will also be scheduled, according to individual delegate needs and interests.
The event is being organised by the Italian Innovation Relay Centre (IRC) for Latium, Abruzzi, and Sardinia (CIRCE). It will run in parallel with the international conference on the genetics of complex diseases and isolated populations.
