Brazilian scientists say they have created an edible clingfilm.
Researchers at Campinas State University in Sio Paulo made the clingfilm from amaranto flour. Florencia Cecilia Menegalli told the website UOL Inovação: "Our clingfilm is biodegradable, cheap, has a high level of protein and transparency and properties that make fresh fruit and vegetables last for longer than usual." The edible clingfilm is described as tasteless.
