Students at the Bauhaus University of Weimar are designing souvenirs and memorabilia for sale at the former Nazi death camp at Buchenwald. Opponents of the project say selling souvenirs to tourists is "disrespectful" to the 56,000 people who lost their lives at the camp between 1937 and 1945. The Foerder-Verein association, which runs the memorial at the Buchenwald and which urgently needs funds, said the souvenirs would be tasteful.
