Updated: view the 2018 Complete University Guide results
Loughborough University and University College London have entered the top 10 of the Complete University Guide’s annual league table.
Loughborough climbed four places to reach seventh place, while UCL jumped three places to 10th.
Despite these movements, overall there is stability at the top of the list, with the leading five universities unchanged since last year. The University of Cambridge takes the crown for the sixth year in a row.
THE data reveal the top British universities
The ranking, which includes 127 institutions, is based on 10 measures: student satisfaction, research quality, research intensity, entry standards, student-to-staff ratio, spending on academic services, spending on student facilities, good honours degrees achieved, graduate prospects and completion.
The biggest riser is Manchester Metropolitan University, which climbed 16 places to 57th, while Arts University Bournemouth fell the most, dropping 19 places to 76th.
