Swapping the title "MP" for "president" is a dream for most politicians - and the small matter of falling out with his party leader just before an election and losing his parliamentary seat has not kept Howard Flight from making the switch.
Mr Flight, Conservative former MP for Arundel and the South Downs, has taken on the job of president of the Linkson fellowship, a charity that will "open the eyes of children from underprivileged families" by helping them win scholarships and internships with organisations.
Presumably, work experience at Conservative Central Office will not be on offer.
