The international conference, 'Prion 2005', will be held in Düsseldorf, Germany, from 19 to 21 October.
Organised by the German TSE Research Platform and the European Network of Excellence (NoE) NeuroPrion, this conference aims to extend the spread of knowledge within the scientific community and between research and society.
The scientific program will cover a wide variety of subjects:
- Genetics, strains, and emerging problems;
- Structure of PrP and molecular determinants of infectivity;
- Cell biology of PrPC and PrPSc;
- Pathogenesis;
- Decontamination;
- Diagnosis;
- Human prions;
- Therapy.
The scientific advisory board will ensure that the presentations are at the cutting edge of prion research.
