Founded in 1830 as the first Catholic college in the American Southeast, Spring Hill College (SHC) is a liberal arts institution based in the neighbourhood of Mobile, Alabama for which it is named. Students can experience the wide variety of cultural activities offered in this historic Gulf Coast City, which is also host to the oldest organised carnival celebrations in the nation.

Study abroad opportunities are available at the Spring Hill College Italy Centre, where students live in a modernised residence hall with Italian students, and can stay for a semester, seasonal break, or full year.
Athletics teams are known as the Badgers, and compete in the NCAA Division II. There are a total of seven men’s sports programmes and nine women’s, which include indoor and beach volleyball. Also offered are club sports of bowling and rugby, and spirit squads of cheerleading and dance.
