关于 Northwest University (USA)
Northwest University is a private Christian liberal arts college in Kirkland, a suburb of Seattle in Washington, established in 1934.
Started as a Bible Institute by the Northwest Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God USA, under which it still operates, it was not until 2005 that the university got its current name.
First housed in a church called the Hollywood Temple, the university found its present campus site 25 years later, which was gifted to them by the State.
Overlooking Lake Washington on the west side and the snow-clad Olympics on the east, the main campus is on 56 semi-wooded acres and is just minutes from Seattle. This is where many of the most successful companies of the 21st century, such as Microsoft, Google, and Amazon, call home, and where many students go on to find employment.
Salem Bible College in Salem, Oregon, merged the Northwest University in 2008, and is now known as Salem Bible College of Northwest University. There is another satellite campus in Sacramento, California, housing the College of Adult and Professional Studies, which includes the Adult Evening Program, Church Partnership Program, Criminal Justice Program, Southern Idaho Extension Site, Online Programs, and the Sacramento Campus.
Northwest University sports teams bear the nickname Eagles, and compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, with men’s sports including basketball, cross country, soccer and track and field, and women’s sports including basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, track and field, and volleyball.
Alumni have included David Bazan, the indie rock singer-songwriter, and Natalie Diane Grant, the Grammy nominated contemporary Christian singer and songwriter.
