Chitkara University

Chitkara University is a private university in Chandigarh, North India. It is a relatively young university having been established in 2010.

This institution offers students a wide range of subjects to study. Most of the degree programmes offer practical, hands-on experience, internships and projects within the local community.

Subjects that are offered at the university include engineering, management, pharmacy, health sciences and nursing among others.

Teaching is delivered in spacious, amphitheatre style classrooms that are fitted with modern information and communication technology. There are also a number of modern laboratories across campus.

International students are given the opportunity to study at the university, while domestic students are able to undertake international exchanges to study at universities abroad.

There are a number of clubs that students can get involved with at the university ranging from sport to community engagement to electronics and engineering. There are also a number of events and festivals throughout the year such as the T20 Cup, Chitkara Mandi, Techelone and University Sports Meet.

Sahil Jassal graduated from the university and became a became a leading figure in mobile communication and information technology. Not only that, he has been back to Chitkara University to inspire budding engineers to do the same. As a way of connecting with alumni’s, Chitkara University regularly invites notable people back to share their journey with students.
