The split between further and higher education trade unions continued to jeopardise hopes of a joint pay claim next year. In a stinging letter Association of University Teachers assistant general secretary Tom Wilson refutes the claim made in a Natfhe newsletter that Natfhe proposed joint bargaining to the AUT. He is also upset at the implication in the article that the AUT rejected a consultation compromise by insisting on inclusion of a pay review body.
