(Photograph) - Tender touch: the University of Sunderland sponsored an exhibition in London this term by Virginia Bodman, its senior lecturer in charge of painting, called "Strong Meat". Her images on "mothering, conflicts and women's labour" echo 19th-century engravings of women workers.
