关于 Hassiba Benbouali University of Chlef
The Hassiba Benbouali University of Chlef is a public university in Algeria in the province of Chlef, founded in 2001 by grouping several national higher education institutions into one.
The university is named after Hassiba Benbouali who died as a martyr of the Algerian Independence War, aged 19 in 1957.
The history of the university traces back to 1986 when two new national institutes of higher education, in hydraulics and agronomy, were officially opened. Other courses have opened since then, including mechanical engineering, electronics, business informatics, and accounting and taxation.
In 2010, the university was restructured into seven faculties and two institutes: the faculty of science, the faculty of technology, the faculty of economic science, commercial and management science, the faculty of human and social science, the faculty of civil engineering and architecture, the faculty of law and political science, the faculty of letters and languages, the institute of agronomic science, and the institute of physical education and sports.
Other sectors have been created, such as economic science, management science, legal and administrative science, Arabic literature, process engineering, date processing, the science of nature and life, and biology.
The university has nearly 26,000 students enrolled across nine faculties, with around 75 undergraduate level specialties and over 100 masters level specialties.
There are over 1,000 teachers and the personal staff consists of around 1,200 functionaries.
