A public consultation over controversial expansion into green-belt land has been launched by the University of Bath. The university has been given permission by councillors to develop about 40 acres of the green belt around Bath. It is now inviting residents and businesses to take part in the second stage of a public consultation on the development of a new masterplan for the university's Claverton campus. The National Trust, which opposes green-belt development, will be among the bodies taking part.
