Student accommodation at the University of Salford has been sold to a multinational company. The deal will see Campus Living Villages, which also operates in the US, Australia and New Zealand, managing 1,400 student rooms in four buildings. The university said the firm had agreed to invest £2.6 million in refurbishing two of the accommodation blocks over the next two years. The deal, it said, is part of a long-term development plan, and will secure "significant" capital that can be re-invested in facilities. As a result of the sale, 37 university staff will become employees of Campus Living Village.
