Men who are sexually promiscuous in their twenties and thirties are more likely to develop prostate cancer, University of Nottingham research suggests. But the study of 800 men, published in BJU International, the official journal of the British Association of Urological Surgeons, shows that risks diminish with age - there was no significant correlation between sexual activity and prostate cancer in men in their forties. The research added that even small levels of sexual activity in one's fifties could offer men protection from the disease.
