Men who drive flashy cars are more attractive to women, according to researchers at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. The results of a study show that women rate a man more highly if he is behind the wheel of a Bentley rather than a Ford Fiesta. But men were not influenced by a woman's choice of car, forming their opinion purely on her looks. Michael Dunn, whose research has been published in the latest edition of the British Journal of Psychology, said he was spurred by his own interest in evolutionary psychology, along with the rising number of women buying so-called high-end motors.
