A lecturer at the London College of Fashion at the University of the Arts London has completed a documentary about the famous Italian fashion house, Missoni. Maggie Norden, director of communications media in the School of Media and Communication, produced and directed The Black and White of Colour. The film was shot in Sumirago, a small town in the Lombardy region of Italy where the Missoni home and factory are located, and is narrated by actress Joanna Lumley. Ms Norden's research has also contributed to an exhibition about the fashion house, known for its colourful stripes and patterns, currently running at the Estorick Gallery in London. The exhibition runs until 20 September.
