A watch designed to supply caffeine directly to a driver's bloodstream has been invented by a student at De Montfort University. The "Folli Watch" improves drivers' reaction speeds by gradually releasing caffeine into their blood through their hair follicles. Andrew Johnson, the inventor, said that the watch "is not an excuse for tired driving", but is intended to show the way that reaction times slow down during a long drive.
