A warning to academics: students are hot on your heels. An aspiring postgraduate from the University of Sheffield has shown he is ahead of the game by pitting himself against scholars at a national conference on William Shakespeare. Adam Smith, 21, was the only student delegate in his field at the British Shakespeare Association's conference in London earlier this month. Mr Smith, who has just completed his English literature degree, presented a paper on how oral history can be used as an alternative method to teach Shakespeare. He began an MA at Sheffield this month.
