A college that has provided adult education since the 1880s is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its art gallery with a retrospective exhibition. Morley College's show at the Morley Gallery in London features 24 artists and runs until 4 November. It was opened this week by Maggi Hambling, the artist and sculptor best known for her granite-and-bronze memorial to Oscar Wilde in central London. She has taught at the college for 40 years and held her first sell-out show at the gallery in 1973.
