The much-debated topic of "research-informed teaching" will be the focus of a symposium at Nottingham Trent University on 13 November. The symposium follows a survey of approximately 700 students, who were asked how they felt the relationship between teaching and research affected their learning. The majority said that tutors' research benefited their learning and increased their understanding. They also felt that conducting their own research had a positive effect on their studies.
