A "flagship, classically designed building" is to become part of the University of Chester. The university has finalised a deal to buy the city's County Hall from Chester West and Chester Council. The building will provide a home for two faculties: health and social care, and education and children's services. Tim Wheeler, the university's vice-chancellor, said the agreed price for County Hall - which has not been revealed - reflects "what has been professionally estimated to be the current market value".
